The Regional Centre for Handicrafts (CRAA) will attend the 21 Environmental Education Days to take place on the island of Faial on March 13 and 14.
Promoted by the Environmental Education Association (ASPEA) in partnership with the Azores Sea Observatory, this event features guest speakers from Portuguese-speaking countries and Spain, who will share life experiences (educational, academic, social and political) on environmental issues.
Craft production units reuse several materials, contributing to the promotion of environmental education and the use of raw materials related to the Azores nature and sea. In this context, the Regional Centre for Handicrafts will be represented at the event by six artisans who will display their works on whalebone, fish scales, basalt stone, wood fig tree pith and wood.
