Competences and Constitutive Documents
The Regional Directorate of Work and Professional Qualification, DRTQP, is the executive service of the Regional Secretariat of Education and Science that takes as a mission the execution of the policies of job, work and professional formation, inspection of the work, as well as the management of the European Social Fund, mission that requests for a great flexibility and an important reactivity regarding the evolution of its exterior reality. The DRTQP secures also the management of the Program of the Assembly of the Regions of Europe, Eurydice.
It is predictable that in the temporal horizon of 2010 there are in the Azores 120.000 active working people, important number whether face to the past whether before the behavior of the labor market in the European Union. Such an evolution will determine a growth of the workforce, which it allows to foresee a generalized increase of the productive capacity in the Azorean economy.
It is, so, in this context, that it constitutes fundamental Mission of the DRTQP to develop a strong strategy for the employment, the productivity and the growth, associated to the promotion of the professional insertion of quality as central element of a set of policies of insertion and of social progress based in the economical sustainability.
It will have to be improved the investment in the policies of job, promoting collectively and individually the appreciation of the people as central axle of the promotion of the social justice and cohesion and of the good functioning of the economy. The policies of job will be, so, in the core of a fan of mechanisms, devices and actions of social integration and of new approaches in the creation and distribution of wealth.
This Mission applies for daring and innovatory measures of policies of job, allied to a strong humanism and to a constant preoccupation of looking for answers appropriate to the necessities of the Azorean business system, mobilizing the energies creator of new solutions, as well as the implication of the different agents of development, which it obliges to place with relevance the Mission of the DRTQP.
The fulfillment of this Mission with efficiency will bring important consequences for the creation of wealth, to the productivity and to making available more and more quality jobs, allowing the social and professional insertion of more and more Azoreans, in particular women.
