The Regional Government promotes, through the Regional Directorate for Employment and Vocational Training a new period of applications for Estagiar L and Estagiar T until August 31 traineeships beginning on October 1. Applications should be made at the address https://empregojovem.azores.gov.pt/.

The ESTAGIAR programme aims to promote the integration of young graduates into the labour world through professional traineeships lasting 18 or 24 months, while contributing to the establishment of young people on smaller islands.

The measure created by the Regional Government enables young people to have a wider knowledge about companies and organisations as well as reinforces the competitiveness and rejuvenation of the human resources in the Azorean business fabric.

Private and public companies, local, regional and central public administration services, cooperatives and non-profit entities may apply for this measure aimed at young people with higher or intermediate qualifications.

Currently, 1,900 young people are enrolled in the ESTAGIAR programme, a highly successful initiative for the integration of young people into the labour market with an employment rate over 50% after the end of the traineeship.
