The Regional Director of Labour, Vocational Training and Consumer Protection, Rui Bettencourt, will welcome 23 trainees under the Eurodyssey traineeship programme on June 18 at 11 AM.
The second group of trainees under the 2012 Eurodyssey (June/December) will be welcomed at the facilities of the Regional Directorate for Labour, Vocational Training and Consumer Protection.
These youngsters will have the possibility to have a unique professional experience in the Azores. The second group is composed by youngsters from the French regions of Rhône-Alpes and Île-de-France; the Belgium regions of Brussels-Capital and Wallonia; the Spanish regions of Cantabria, Murcia, Catalonia and Valencia; the Romanian region of Caras-Severin and the Croatian region of Istria. The Eurodyssey traineeships will take place on the islands of São Miguel, Terceira and Faial.
The newcomer group will stay in the Region for the next six months; the month of June will be exclusively dedicated to the learning of Portuguese language.
During the traineeship, youngsters will be integrated into Azorean institutions and companies in areas ranging from hotel/restaurant, tourism, biology, environment, graphic design to physiotherapy, education, audiovisual and political sciences.
In turn, 32 Azoreans are undertaking traineeships in Europe. A total of 62 youngsters will benefit from the Eurodyssey experience.
