The Regional Director for Labour, Vocational Training and Consumer Protection, Rui Bettencourt, will present regional employment policies under the "Why Regions are better prepared to face youth unemployment ? " in Brussels on June 26.

The event is organised by the Assembly of European Regions, under the Promoting Youth Employment project and will be attended by the Director-General of Employment for Europe 2020 - EU Commission, the MEP and President of the Commission for Regional Development, Danuta Hübner, and the Director of the World Programme for Youth Employment of International Labour Organisation (ILO), Gianni Rosas.

On June 27, the Regional Director for Labour, Vocational Training and Consumer Protection will chair the meeting of the Steering Committee of Eurodyssey to make an assessment of the last six years of Azorean presidency of the programme.
