The Regional Public Administration is committed to pursuing a process of continuous improvement, through the development of projects towards the qualification and enhancement of its human resources, the implementation of self-assessment with widespread use of CAF tools, the conduction of audits to its functioning and organisation, and its assessment by citizens. All these initiatives are geared towards a management focused on goals, always placing the users of regional public services at the core of our concerns.
The Regional Directorate for Organisation and Public Administration is primarily responsible for the implementation of policy measures in the modernisation and effectiveness of the regional public administration, and in the development of a proximity relation with citizens. It carries out the powers conferred upon the Regional Government by law in the coordination between the Government and local authorities as well as in matters concerning voter registration and elections.
The management of the Regional Directorate for Organisation and Public Administration is guided by ethical values, cohesion, quality, partnership and effectiveness. Hence, it has as its mission to promote, monitor, coordinate and implement measures of excellence that contribute to the continuous improvement of the Regional Public Administration of the Autonomous Region of the Azores at the service of citizens. We want to become a service of reference in the effectiveness of public management.
