The Regional Inspectorate of Economic Activities (IRAE) has detected 235 non-conformities in a total of 484 inspections carried out in commercial establishments and services on the islands of S. Miguel, Terceira, Faial, Pico and S. Jorge.
The lack of a complaint book and the sign indicating the existence of a complaint book, the absence of "no smoking" signs as well as price as well as insufficient price and licence display were some of the non-conformities detected by IRAE, which has stipulated a 30-day deadline for commercial establishments and services to regularise their situation.
The initiative is part of an operational plan carried out by IRAE, held between 31 October to November 11, which focused on the compliance with the provisions on complaint book, tobacco, prices and registration of commercial establishments and services at the commercial registry office.
