The Regional Labour Inspectorate (IRT) is a public service, endowed with technical autonomy, according to the principles laid down in the Conventions no. 81, 129 and 155 of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

It has as its mission the improvement of working conditions through advisory actions and supervision of compliance with labour standards in the context of legal-private relations as well with the provisions on Safety and Health at Work.
