The Regional Labour Inspectorate (IRT) of the Regional Government, in partnership with the Santa Maria office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Azores, promotes a conference under the theme "Safety at Work in offices, service and commercial establishments" next Wednesday, September 25.

The conference will take place at the premises of the office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Azores in Vila do Porto at 8:30 PM. The event will address general and special conditions of workplaces in order to ensure their safety.

This initiative aims to provide local businesspeople with access to information on relevant matters in the area of Safety and Health at Work, particularly with regard to storage, lighting and organisation of the workplace, among other aspects.

In the current year, the Regional Labour Inspectorate has organised awareness raising actions on working time, health and safety at work on the islands of Faial, Pico and Graciosa in a partnership with the local employers' associations.
