The Citizen Support Integrated Network (RIAC, Agency for the Modernisation and Quality of Citizen Service) has extended its partnership with CTT - Correios de Portugal, S.A. (National Postal Services) since the beginning of this month. Under this new partnership, RIAC will also provide postal services in the offices located in the villages of Flamengos and Cedros, Faial.
This collaboration, which has proved extremely useful to the local population, began in 2011 with the signing of a partnership through which RIAC would be able to provide postal services in its offices.
The RIAC office in Topo, São Jorge Island, was the first office of the network to put into practice the partnership established with CTT in 2011, being followed by the offices of Ginetes, São Miguel, and Castelo Branco, Faial.
This partnership has now been extended to the villages of Flamengos and Cedros.
With this proximity service, citizens are provided with a wide range of services, including the receipt and delivery of correspondence, national and international registered mail, sale of postal products, receipt and delivery of orders as well as the receipt and payment of national money orders.
This partnership with CTT complements and enhances the services provided by RIAC, whose mission is to ensure the rationalisation, modernisation and quality of regional administration services in order to improve its interaction with citizens.
RIAC is a public body under the administration of the Vice-President of the Regional Government of the Azores. This service is available to answer citizens' doubts through its various service channels, including the Toll-Free Number: 800 500 501 and the electronic addresses: www.riac.azores.gov.pt and www.facebook.com/riac.gov.
The Citizen Support Integrated Network has 51 offices in all Azorean municipalities, Lisbon, Toronto (Canada) and Fall River (USA) as well as a Contact Centre and an Internet Portal.
This network offers a wide range of information on various areas with the purpose of facilitating citizens' access to Regional, Central and Local Public Administrations as well as to other public and private entities.
