RIAC provides access to Digital Mobile Key

The offices of the Integrated Citizen Support Network (RIAC) are already providing activation services for the Digital Mobile Key (CMD) at no cost for citizens. This innovative authentication system allows access to several public and private portals.

A simple and quick process only requires citizens to go a RIAC office. They must bring their Citizen or ID card and mobile phone or provide access to their mailbox.

In the case of foreign citizens, they must bring their passport and their mobile phone or provide access to their mailbox. After this procedure, the Digital Mobile Key will be immediately activated.

This innovative authentication system associates the mobile phone number with citizen identification data, which will simplify the access several portals, either public or private, such as the Tax Services or Social Security portals as well as to RIAC portal.

Hence, the access to these portals requires the mobile phone number and a single four-digit password, after which an access key is generated and sent to citizens by text message or email, among other possibilities.

The use of identification and password for each portal is no longer necessary insofar as the digital signature process will be the same.

Further information on this service is also available free of charge through the Toll-free Support Line of the Regional Government 800 500 501 between 9 AM and 10:30 PM on working days and between 10 AM and 10:30 PM on Sundays and holidays.

RIAC is a public service under the administration of the Vice-Presidency of the Government, Employment and Business Competitiveness. It is implemented in all municipalities of the Region, through 54 offices, the toll-free support line and the online portal available at www.riac.azores. gov.pt.
