The Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government of the Azores is responsible for the following areas: regional development and cohesion; finances and assets; budget and planning; global management of Community funds; regional public business sector; trade; services and industry; handicrafts, promotion of entrepreneurship, competitiveness and business innovation; promotion of exports; venture capital; promotion of private investment and business internationalisation; active employment policies; policies for enhancing employability and reducing insecure employment; training and conversion of human resources; regional public administration; local authorities; inspectorates of regional administration, economic activities and labour; statistics; administrative policy, electoral affairs and consumer and competition protection.
