The Azores will participate with 36 regional companies in SISAB Portugal 2020 - International Trade Fair for Portuguese Food and Beverage to take place at Altice Arena in Lisbon between March 2 and 4.
The participation of Azorean companies in this event represents one of the activities organised by the Regional Government with the aim of promoting exports and the internationalisation of regional companies.
This year, the space dedicated to the Azores at this event will include five more companies than last year. They represent several sectors of activity with export potential, namely dairy products, meat processing, liqueurs, wines, fish, canned fish, tea, traditional confectionery, honey and other agri-food products.
The Azorean companies participating in this important fair plan to launch new products, present new strategies and establish new partnerships and businesses.
SISAB Portugal is the largest annual platform for leading companies and entrepreneurs in the export sector, where national companies can find the most relevant food industry importers from the five continents.
The presence of regional companies in SISAB Portugal is an initiative of the Vice-Presidency of the Government, through SDEA - Society for Business Development of the Azores, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Azores.
The Region's participation in SISAB 2020 falls within the Plan for Trade Fairs and Business Missions - Azores Export 2020 and the Azores Brand strategy. The latter, among other measures, stimulates the exports of regional products and services, through the direct participation of Azorean companies in events with a strong "business to business" component, thus supporting the opening of new business channels with companies from all over the world.
