Azorean products will be featured in New England and Florida, USA, during a promotional activity that will take place between November 19 and December 31.
This promotion of regional products covers seven SEABRA supermarkets, owned by the importer Portuguese products Triunfo Foods, based in New Jersey.
The initiative is included in the Annual Plan for Trade Fairs and Business Missions 2015 of the Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government. It is developed in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Azores, being also the result of a visit of US entrepreneurs to the Region take took place last year under the business mission "Buyers Exchange."
Until the end of the year, the seven supermarkets will feature a wide range of Azorean products, including dairy products, preserves, jams, honey, tea, biscuits, sweets, soft drinks and fresh fish, among others.
This initiative aims to increase exports by increasing the consumption of Azorean products under the strategy to consolidate and promote the access to new markets, while reinforcing the competitiveness of the regional business fabric.
The SEABRA supermarkets are known for selling Portuguese products and the promotion of the differentiated quality of these products. The Portuguese-American community and other non-traditional market segments are their target audience.
Besides this initiative, an advertising campaign will be simultaneously developed to promote Azorean products.
