Over four hundred varieties of Azorean products will be highlighted at the 17th Atlantic Gastronomic Fair, which runs in Praia da Vitória from July 29 to August 7.
The "Azorean Space" is located at the entry of the tent where the Atlantic Gastronomic Fair in the Marina of Praia da Vitória. It will provide visitors with the opportunity to taste and buy several local products. This will be a space where handicrafts, culture and agri-food products will be highlighted, including some of 1,300 products bearing the "Azores Brand" seal.
This initiative was already organised during the Agroter Fair and Sanjoaninas 2016, being the result of the partnership between the Regional Government of the Azores, through the Vice-Presidency and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Azores. The Government has already implemented the Annual Plan for Trade Fairs and Business Missions (CCIA), which is carried out by the Society for Business Development of the Azores (SDEA).
The main goal is to increase the visibility of regional products to the final consumer and boost the regional internal market, allowing the direct contact of consumers with regional products. Moreover, the event also aims to highlight the quality of local production, increase supply and encourage consumption, thus enhancing its contribution to the Region's economy.
The "Azorean Space" will open on July 29 at 1 PM. This space will be open to the public during the Praia Festivities from 12 PM to 12 AM.
