Government expects that the incentive scheme Competir+ will yield very positive results in the Region, says Sérgio Ávila
The Vice-President of the Government expressed his belief that the incentive scheme Competir+, recently implemented, "will certainly be highly beneficial” to the Region.
Speaking at an information session on Competir+, held in Ponta Delgada last Friday, Sérgio Ávila also mentioned his expectations regarding the positive impact of this incentive scheme "in terms of employment creation and development of economic activities in the Azores."
Speaking before one hundred and fifty entrepreneurs, the government official emphasised that Competir+ "is an incentive scheme not only directed to investments but also to the competitiveness of Azorean companies."
Sérgio Ávila stressed that "Azorean companies are the only ones in the country" to have at their disposal "the most generous, intense, comprehensive and diverse incentive scheme" at a national level.
The Government of the Azores promotes during the month of March several information sessions on all islands, except for Corvo, on the Incentive Scheme for Business Competitiveness - Competing+.
