The Government of the Azores promotes, through the Vice-Presidency, the 1st Regional Employment and Vocational Training Exhibition, which will take place in Ponta Delgada from May 9 to 12.
The event involves 22 entities that have confirmed their participation. It is developed by the Regional Directorate for Employment and Vocational Training and was presented today by the Regional Director at a press conference.
Ilda Batista stressed that the event aims to promote the dissemination of measures to support employment and entrepreneurship, professional traineeships, job offers and vocational training provided by companies and vocational training schools in the Azores.
This is also an opportunity for companies to present their business areas through stands and individual presentations, during which they will provide information on job opportunities and the most sought-after recruitment profiles.
Ilda Baptista also revealed that, throughout this initiative, young people and visitors will be challenged to discover new ways to transform ideas into business as well as to become acquainted with the training paths available in the Region.
Simultaneously, there are scheduled initiatives for the promotion of the courses taught by the vocational training schools represented at the event to be held in a stage inside the pavilion, with capacity for 100 people. This exhibition also includes workshops, theme demonstrations and short information sessions promoted by companies and institutions.
The Regional Employment and Vocational Training Exhibition will be open at Pavilhão do Mar between 10:30 AM and 8:30 PM; entrance is free. It is expected to be visited by three thousand people.
