Government of the Azores supports participation of regional companies in Portugal Agro
The Government of the Azores, through the Vice-Presidency, promotes the participation of about twenty Azorean companies in the third edition of Portugal Agro - International Fair of Regions, Agriculture and Agri-food taking place at FIL - Lisbon International Fair between October 28 and 30.
This event, which covers the entire agri-food sector, aims to promote the national production capacity, its regions, its features and roots as well as the excellence and quality of its products and producers. This is also an opportunity for the entities of each region to showcase their productive potential.
The participation of the Azores is developed by the Society for Business Development of the Azores (SDEA) in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Azores and co-financed by the Azores Operational Programme 2020, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). It is primarily intended to promote Azorean agri-food products and actively contribute to promotion of exports.
In previous editions, Portugal Agro featured the participation of nearly 800 producers and received 25,000 visitors in an exhibition area of about 15,000 square metres.
In addition to the exhibitions, the International Fair of International Fair of Regions, Agriculture and Agri-food will promote several technical seminars and themed workshops.
The event is open to the public and professionals from various business sectors, including agriculture, machinery and equipment, hotel and catering, retail, "gourmet" and distribution.
