Between January 1 and February 28, the Azorean Government will open a new period for the submission of applications for the "Azores Digital Company Award" and the integration into a network for the exchange of information on digital promotion initiatives.
This initiative promoted by the Vice-Presidency of the Government, Employment and Business Competitiveness aims to increase the number of Azorean companies in the digital economy, through the use of digital technologies.
In this context, the "Azores Digital Company Award," held for the second consecutive year, provides companies with the possibility to improve their performance in this area.
The measure is promoted by the Azorean Government, taking into consideration that digital transformation is nowadays essential to access markets as far as it enables the interaction between companies and their customers, regardless of their geographic location.
In an archipelago marked by territorial discontinuity and distance from markets, digital technologies allow Azorean companies to enter both local and global value chains as well as to optimise organisational and production processes, thus maximising results and their competitiveness.
Further information on the "Azores Digital Company Award" initiative is available at SDEA - Society for Business Development of the Azores. Application should be submitted at the address http://www.empresadigitalacores.pt/.
