The Vice-President of the Government revealed that "nine out of 10 young people" who concluded the "Estagiar L" and "Estagiar T" traineeship programmes are "currently employed."
"I can happily announce that 90 percent of the trainees who concluded the "Estagiar L" and "Estagiar T" programmes in August have managed to ensure their permanence in the labour market with an employment contract or with complementary support," said Sérgio Ávila.
"This success rate at the end of the first month, standing at 90 percent, is very high and it clearly demonstrates the opportunities provided in the area of employment."
According to Sérgio Ávila, this percentage also shows "the opportunities brought by the 'Estagiar' programme, but also "the awareness that, together, we must find solutions so that these young people, after concluding the traineeship, may remain in the labour market."
"Half of these young people continue working with an employment contract, within the scope of the programme we have create for the integration of trainees, and 35 percent have secured employment contracts without any kind of support," said the government official.
The Vice-President said this is "an extraordinarily positive result and a demonstration of the success in our youth employment support programmes."
"As part of the measures to support the integration of young people into the labour market, the Government of the Azores has developed a wide range of measures to ensure that this integration into the labour market takes place effectively, with efficiency and results," said Sergio Avila.
