According to data published today by the Employment and Vocational Training Institute, the number of unemployed fell by 14.4 percent in the Azores in the June, the lowest registered since October 2011.
Data from IEFP indicate that there were 8,967 unemployed registered in the Agencies for Qualification and Employment, which corresponds to 1,505 fewer unemployed compared to the same month of 2016.
There is also confirmation of the continuous trend of new job offers, with a 5.3 percent increase in offers compared to the same month of last year.
From May to June this year, there was also an increase of 11 percent in the number of unemployed people in the labour market.
The gradual decline in unemployment in the Region has reach the lowest level of almost last six years in June.
