The Vice-Presidency of the Government, through SDEA - Society for Business Development of the Azores, will hold a public ceremony to deliver the "Azores 2018 Digital Company" awards in Ponta Delgada on Friday, October 12.
These awards are delivered to companies that have applied for this Regional Government's initiative and demonstrated compliance with a series of good practices in the use of digital technologies.
The award is made formal at this public ceremony with the delivery of a certificate, a trophy and a digital seal that bears its own distinctive image.
The event features as guest speaker Jorge Carrola Rodrigues, an expert on information systems, whose lecture will be followed by a discussion panel on "The importance of digital in the business of the company."
Moderated by journalist Paulo Simões, this debate involves, besides Jorge Carrola Rodrigues, Carla Pereira (ACEPI - Digital Economy Association), Luís Nunes (company Azores Getaways) and Flávio Tiago (University of the Azores).
This ceremony concludes the first edition of the "Azores Digital Company Award" initiative, which aims to promote among Azorean entrepreneurs the importance of digital tools for the competitiveness of their businesses.
