Regional Government extends Estagiar L and Estgiar T traineeships for another nine months
The Regional Government, through the Vice-Presidency, has determined, considering the state of emergency that is in force in the Region as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the extension of the traineesips under the Estagiar L and Estagiar T programmes for another 9 months.
According to an ordinance published today in the Official Journal, the decision, which takes effect from today, covers young people who began their traineeship in October 2018 or January 2019 and who will complete their traineeship programmes this year.
This measure will be implemented maintaining the same and exact conditions until the end of the traineeship period, namely the amount of the financial compensation and the inclusion of a one-month rest period on a date to be defined with the promoting entity.
This extraordinary extension of the traineeship period for another nine months, if this is the intention of promoters and trainees, is yet another measure to support young Azoreans and, consequently, families, companies and entities in the Region.
The employment of all Azoreans and, in particular, of young people is one of the priorities of the Regional Government embodied in the ESTAGIAR programme.
It has been instrumental in supporting youth employment and the employability rate of young graduates.
The ESTAGIAR traineeship programme provides young people with the opportunity to carry out duties appropriate to their qualifications in a real work context, acquiring professional experience and new skills that will enhance their integration into the labour market.
