This year, the Azores participate for the first time in the "Tuttofood" fair in Milan, Italy. Promoted by the Regional Government, this initiative falls within the Azores Export Plan 2017. It aims to support and contribute to the export of the main regional production sectors by reaching to new markets.
With this initiative, the Government of the Azores pursues the strategy for the promotion and expansion of export, thus boosting the competitiveness of the Azorean business fabric.
"Tuttofood," which ends today, is a fair that stands out for attending the specific and actual needs of companies, namely those with export potential, being a good showcase for new products.
This international fair dedicated to the food and beverage sector is considered to be one of the largest in Europe and has grown annually by 50%, both in terms of visitors and exhibitors.
The event is organised by Fiera Milano and is primarily aimed at professionals in the agri-food sector, combining the showcase of companies from various countries to other activities, such as workshops, seminars, meetings and conferences.
The Azores Export 2017 Plan was implemented by the Vice-Presidency of the Government, through the Society for Business Development of the Azores (SDEA), in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Azores. It includes multiple initiatives and support measures for companies, such as participation in fairs, promotional activities and organisation of business mission. They are intended to promote the external projection of the Region and, in particular, companies and products bearing the "Azores Brand" seal, fostering new business.
