Regional Inspectorate of Economic Activities and Labour participate in sessions for catering and hospitality sector
The Regional Inspectorates of Economic Activities (IRAE) and Labour (IRT) will promote, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ponta Delgada (CCIPD), information and clarification sessions in the areas of occupational risks, food safety and economic rules for the catering and hospitality sector.
The first session will focus on occupational risks in the catering and hotel sector. It will take place Tuesday, October 17, at the CCIPD Training Centre in Ponta Delgada at 2:30 PM.
In this session, the IRT will address risks to professionals in catering and hotel establishments.
The initiative contributes to the implementation of a prevention policy in this sector that has registered a significant increase in demand and the creation of new businesses. Therefore, it is important to call for the importance observing safety standards in order to guarantee the health and safety of workers and the prevention of accidents.
In turn, IRAE will present information relevant to restaurants, commercial establishment and services, namely with regard to licensing rules, the Complaints Book and display of prices.
The session will also address matters related to operating rules, unfair commercial practices and sale of beverages to minors, among others. It will include a moment to clarify doubts.
This awareness-raising session dedicated to the food safety plan in catering establishments, with the participation of IRAE, is scheduled for October 24.
Promoting and collaborating in the organisation of information sessions for the dissemination of good practices in matters pertaining to labour and economic activities among companies are some the actions included in the activity plans of these regional inspection entities under the jurisdiction of the Vice-Presidency of the Government.
