The Regional Director for Communities starts Wednesday, October 30, a visit to the state of California, where he will visit several Azorean emigrant communities and participate in the Gala celebrating the 22nd anniversary of PALCUS - Portuguese-American Leadership Council of the United States.
On Wednesday, Paulo Teves will visit Tulare, a U.S. city with about 60 thousand inhabitants, where a considerable community of Azoreans and Azorean descendants reside. The government official will have a scheduled meeting with the leaders and representatives of several Portuguese associations at the Tulare-Angrense Atlético Clube.
On the following day, October 31, the Regional Director will travel to the cities of Chino and Artesia. He will visit several Portuguese associations headquartered in these cities, where there is a strong Azorean presence.
On the same day, Paulo Teves will meet with Azorean communities at the headquarters of Chino Divino Espírito Santo and Artesia Divino Espírito Santo Associations.
On November 2, Paulo Teves will participate in the Forum on Civic Participation and Book Presentation: California's Portuguese Politicians to take place on San Diego. The Regional Director will attend the Gala celebrating the 22nd anniversary of PALCUS – Portuguese-American Leadership Council of the United States. This organisation aims to defend the interest of the Portuguese communities residing in the USA, developing its action within U.S. political bodies.
