The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Assistant Secretary of the Presidency for Parliamentary Affairs, signed today with GlobalEDA a service contract for the design, construction and implementation of the editing and publishing platform of the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of the Azores (JORAA).
The contract has a base value of about 75 thousand Euros and an implementation period of 231 days.
The new JORAA platform will ensure the improvement of the access conditions to services and support. It is tailored to the current needs regarding the use of information technology, either internally or in the relation with citizens and companies.
Thus, the new editing and publishing platform of JORAA comprises a public access portal, a platform for the editing and submission of acts and a mobile application (app), designated as JORAA, for the consultation of legal documents to be used in the most common technological platforms, including IOS, Android and Windows.
The platform that will now be develop makes an unique use of open source technology and will allow the submission of acts by external parties to JORAA, through intuitive forms, as well as the visualisation of information for integrated payment with RIAC and the possibility to check the status of publications.
Other specific features include profile management of users and entities, notifications and alerts of publications, display of publications on documents in a consolidated version and presented chronologically, marker and digital post-it use, possibility of sharing notes with all accredited users, smart recommendation of important texts and text-to-speech accessibility.
Another aspect to note is a new search engine with new features, including the search by full-text, word or set of words, type and number of legal act, date, number and entity. It also offers the possibility of crossing various types of research.
With the creation of this new platform for JORAA, the Regional Government is, once again, at the forefront of innovation in the official journals.
For the Government of the Azores, information technologies are a key pillar for the provision of quality services to citizens and businesses, as well as to the proper functioning of institutions.
