Government of the Azores works on a daily basis to improve housing conditions, says Carlos Faias
The Regional Director for Housing visited today the renewal works on the island of Flores, funded by the support programme for the renewal of degraded housing, highlighting the Government's commitment in housing policies.
"It is precisely with this purpose in mind that we work on a daily basis to improve the housing conditions of thousands of families in the archipelago," said Carlos Faias. The government official stressed that over thirty families residing in the Western Group were supported by the Regional Directorate for Housing in the current legislative period, representing an overall support of 300 thousand Euros.
The works that were visited today by the Regional Director for Housing on the island of Flores represent an investment of about 70 thousand Euros. They will significantly improve the housing and safety conditions of three families.
These houses are located in village of Lomba, municipality of Lajes, and are part of a group of ten houses located on Flores and Corvo that are being recovered with the support of the Regional Government.
